Hillsborough Disaster: New Images show 19 peoples, who supposed to be witnesses to the tragedy
The Hillsborough disaster was one of the worst human crush that occurred at Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield, England, on 15 April 1989.The disaster led to death of 96 Liverpool fans.
Recently new images of 19 people, who supposed to be the potential witnesses to the tragedy, released by the police. The fans are seen in the area of Gate C when it opened at 2.52pm on 15 April, 1989.Detectives leading a criminal investigation into the disaster have appealed for 19 people to come forward and assured that who contacts the investigating team will be treated with sensitivity.
Detective Chief Superintended Neil Malkin is hoping that the people identified in the footage would be able to help us to know that what actually happened around the opening Of Gate C.
He said,” These people were in close proximity to the gate at the time that it opened and I would like to hear from these 19 people because they might be able to provide me with the information that could assist me in the inquiry.”
