“I Over-exaggerated the story”: Ryan Lochte. He finally speaks out over the robbery Scandal
Ryan Lochte finally opens up on the incident that happened at a gas station in Rio. In an interview With NBC’s Matt Lauer, confess that he overstate the incident that he originally claimed was a robbery.
Disappointed with the incident, he added, “I over-exaggerated this story and if I hadn’t done that we wouldn’t be in this mess. It was my immature behavior.”
When Lochte asked about how he felt that the police remove his teammates from the plane and they came under Scrutiny in Brazil for allegedly Vandalizing a gas station and lying to police. Lochte replied “That’s why I’m taking the full responsibility for it. I am hurt that I let my team down. I wanted to be there, I don’t want to leave them alone. I wanted to help out any way I could”
On asking about the incident that why he overstates the incident, Lochte said, “We just wanted to get out of there. There was a gun in our direction-we were all frightened.”
